Nightproof Terms of Use

Effective date: 1 October 2026.

Nightproof is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ . These terms add a few points specific to Nightproof. If they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA wins.

What Nightproof does

Nightproof plays noise generated on your iPhone to help you relax and mask noise around you, and keeps a log of when sound played. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any sleep disorder. If you have trouble sleeping, talk to a doctor.

Keep the volume at a comfortable level. Long listening at high volume can damage hearing.

Free features and Nightproof Lifetime

• Free, for as long as you use the app: one sound at a time with its volume, the sleep timer with fade-out, all-night playback with auto-resume, and your last 7 nights.
• Nightproof Lifetime is a one-time in-app purchase. It adds up to 4 sounds in one mix, warmth, depth and slow swell controls, saved mixes, and every night in your log.
• Lifetime is not a subscription. There is no trial, nothing renews and nothing is charged later.
• Our written promise: what you buy stays yours. We will never move it into a subscription, and nothing that is free today will be taken away.
• Payment, refunds and Family Sharing are handled by Apple. To ask for a refund, use Report a Problem in your Apple Account.
• Restore purchase (on the Lifetime screen and in Settings) brings Lifetime back on a new or reset iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account.

Reliability

Nightproof restarts sound after interruptions where iOS allows it and writes down what happened. iOS can still stop sound in ways an app cannot prevent (for example when another app takes over audio, or the iPhone runs out of battery). The night log tells you when this happened.
